This Law is the incorporation of the European Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR), as well as of the EU Directive 680/2016, and concerns the Protection of Personal Data.
The new regulation empowers the respective Personal Data Protection Authorities in Europe to impose fines of up to 4% of their annual global turnover or 20 million euros, depending on which is the largest, for serious infringements.
